Summary of the film
Few people know that before its founding and the arrival of its first inhabitants in 1642, Montreal was a social project dreamed up, imagined and designed by a handful of people who were part of a secret society. Who was behind this bold, perilous and mysterious project? What were their motivations? Their dream? The keys to understanding this story can be found in a 17th century manuscript which, by all accounts, is the only one of its kind in the world.
With an original and personal look, the filmmaker revisits this story in which the past resonates with a desire to create a world that is closer to humanist values.
