Lighting a votive candle is a way to extend our prayer, or to make us closer and more in solidarity with the person for whom we are praying.
By asking to light a votive candle, you are making a donation to the Oratory. According to your choice, a Father of the Congregation of Holy Cross will light either a small or a large votive candle in a prayer area of Saint Joseph's Oratory.
