Written more than a century ago, this classic of Christian literature offers a message of trust and abandonment to God's love to all those who are searching for meaning in life or who are living difficult situations. Jean-Baptiste Saint-Jure, born in Metz in 1588 and died on April 3, 1657 in Paris, was a Jesuit priest and writer, a Berullian belonging to the spiritualist movement. He entered the Society of Jesus in Nancy as a novice in 1604. He was the founder of an educational institution in Alençon and was its first rector. He later became rector of several other colleges in Amiens, Orleans and Paris.
